Toyota Gazoo Racing to drive Narooma Forest Rally in 2026

The upcoming Narooma Forest Rally has been handed a major boost ahead of its first ever appearance on the national stage, with Toyota Gazoo Racing coming on board as the naming rights partner.

The move to sponsor the event comes off the back of its support of last year’s Rally of Canberra, where Toyota Gazoo Racing first teamed up with Brindabella Motor Sport Club, with this year’s event to be officially known as the Toyota Gazoo Racing  Narooma Forest Rally.

And in addition to Toyota Gazoo Racing’s partnership, the whole Toyota dealer network across the NSW South Coast will also support the rally and beecome actively involved, further strengthening the region’s ties to the sport.

Toyota Australia Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations, John Pappas, said the company was proud to back the event in its new location.

“Toyota has a long history in Australian rallying, and we’re excited to support the Narooma Forest Rally as it enters this new chapter on the NSW South Coast,” Pappas said.”

“The event sponsorship led by our regional team allows us to showcase and recognise the achievements of our South Coast dealer network, making this partnership especially meaningful, also allowing us to support both grassroots motorsport and the local communities hosting the rally.”

Brindabella Motorsport Club President, Adrian Dudok, expressed that the driving force behind the move to Narooma has come from a desire to evolve the event and respond directly to competitor input.

“The move to Narooma gives us access to fast, smooth, flowing coastal gravel roads that are a different challenge to the Canberra forests used previously,” Dudok said.

“We’ve listened closely to competitor feedback, and the South Coast region provides exactly the style of roads crews have been asking for.”

Entries for the 2026 EROAD Australian Rally Championship’s third round of the season are now open, with interested crews able to enter via WOLF Sports.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing Narooma Forest Rally takes place in the New South Wales coastal town of Narooma on 26-28 June.
