Toby Price

If you know Australian motorsport, you know Toby Price. A two-time Dakar Rally champion on two wheels (2016, 2019) and a record nine-time Finke Desert Race title holder, the Queenslander is one of the most decorated off-road athletes in the world. In 2021 he made history as the first person ever to win the Finke Desert Race on both bikes and four wheels.

More recently, Toby has been turning heads in a very different kind of forest. His 2025 ARC debut at the Forest Rally in Western Australia, competing in the Subaru WRX Challenge with co-driver Holly Kilbride, was nothing short of sensational — winning 12 of 14 stages on debut. He backed that up at Rally Queensland, dropping just two stages across the entire event. He also stepped up to the WOLF Production Cup at the Adelaide Hills Rally later in the year, swapping the Subaru for a Mitsubishi Evo.

His off-road credentials continued to grow on the world stage too, with a factory Toyota Hilux drive at the 2026 Dakar Rally resulting in an 8th place overall — the best ever result by an Australian in the car category.

Now committed to a full 2026 Subaru WRX Challenge campaign with Maximum Motorsport across all four rounds, Toby is a driver who genuinely loves rallying and has the raw speed to prove it. Don’t miss him at a spectator point this season.
