Peter Rullo

Biography

Peter Rullo is one of Western Australia’s most respected motorsport identities, with a tarmac and gravel rally CV stretching back well over a decade. The Perth-based competitor first made his name on the Targa circuit, claiming outright victory at Targa West in 2018 in a Porsche 996 Turbo, backing it up with a runner-up finish in 2019, an outright win at Targa South West in 2020 in a Lotus Exige Targa GT-spec, and a second Targa West triumph in 2021. He has campaigned everything from Porsches to Lotus Exiges across his Targa career, often in the IntelliSpatial/Land Surveys colours that remain on his cars today.

In 2023 Peter expanded his program into gravel rallying with a step up to the EROAD Australian Rally Championship in a current-generation Hyundai i20 N Rally2, embracing the very different challenge of loose surfaces under the IntelliSpatial Fleetcare Racing banner. His passion for the discipline was rewarded in February 2024 when he ticked off a bucket-list goal, contesting the FIA World Rally Championship. Paired with 2023 FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Champion Ben Searcy, Peter contested the 70th Rally Sweden as a WRC2 entry, driving a Toni Gardemeister Services-prepared Skoda Fabia Rally2 evo with backing from IntelliSpatial, Fleetcare, Utility Mapping, Leica Geosystems, RIEGL and Fuchs.

In 2025 he and son Alex Rullo joined forces with reigning ARC champion Hayden Paddon as part of the combined IntelliSpatial Fleet Racing/Race Torque Engineering Hyundai team, delivering the marque’s first ever ARC 1-2 finish at Rally Queensland.

For 2026 Peter lines up again in the EROAD Australian Rally Championship in his FIA Rally2 entry, continuing one of the most committed and well-supported privateer programs in the country. Off the stages he is widely recognised as a leader in Australia’s geospatial industry through IntelliSpatial, and has become an important contributor to motorsport development in Western Australia and beyond.
