Keith Hamilton
Biography
Western Australia-based Irishman Keith Hamilton returns for a busy 2026 program in his proven 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI hatchback, paired again with regular co-driver David Humphreys. The crew has built a strong recent record on both tarmac and gravel, and lines up across multiple disciplines in 2026 including the WA State Production Cup, the Rallysprint Challenge and selected rounds of the EROAD Australian Rally Championship.
Tarmac is where Keith and David have most recently delivered headline results. At the 2025 Lance East Exotics Tarmac West, Perth’s premier closed-road tarmac rally, the pair finished second outright in the T165 category in their Subaru WRX STI, behind eventual winners Kane and Vivian Pountney’s Mercedes-Benz A45 across four days, 33 stages and 230 competitive kilometres around Whiteman Park, Ellenbrook, Kalamunda, Toodyay, Bullsbrook, Malaga and the Perth CBD.
Keith has also taken his rallying ambitions abroad. In November 2024 he and co-driver Glenn Alcorn travelled to New Zealand for the prestigious Silver Fern Rally, with Keith leading the event’s 3-day modern Challenge section after the opening day in a Subaru CG8, an early performance that underlined his pace on the demanding remote-South-Island gravel stages. The Silver Fern is a bucket-list epic of more than 3000 kilometres and over 1000 kilometres of special stages, and the team have indicated they are aiming to return to the event again in 2026.
Closer to home, Keith and David made their EROAD Australian Rally Championship return at the 2026 ARC Plant Hire Forest Rally in Nannup, finishing inside the outright top ten and contesting the WOLF Sport Cup in the same trusty Subaru. With a versatile car, a clear plan for the year, and a co-driving partnership in good rhythm, the crew are firming as a consistent force across both surfaces.
