Joshua Wiedman

Biography

Joshua Wiedman is a Queensland-based rally driver emerging as one of Australia’s promising young talents in the sport. Originally from Logan Village in south-east Queensland, Wiedman began competing in motorsport at a young age, debuting in the Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship at just 15 years old before transitioning into rallying.

Since making his rally debut in 2022, Wiedman has steadily built a reputation for speed and resilience on gravel stages across the country. Competing in the Australian Rally Championship, he claimed a breakthrough class victory in the WOLF Production Cup at the Rally of Canberra and finished fourth outright, signalling his arrival as a serious contender in the national field.

Driving a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX with experienced co-drivers, Wiedman has also secured strong results in state competition, including an outright win in the opening round of the Queensland Rally Championship in 2025.

Known for his determination and rapidly developing racecraft, Wiedman continues to gain momentum as he works toward becoming a consistent front-runner in Australian rallying.
