Forest Rally secures major sponsor for 2026 event

The Western Australia-based Forest Rally has been handed a major boost ahead of its 2026 running with ARC Plant Hire coming on board as the naming rights partner.

To be known as the ARC Plant Hire Forest Rally, the popular WA Car Club-run event serves as the second round of the EROAD Australia Rally Championship (ARC) and takes place in Busselton and Nannup.

Owned by regular state rally competitor Eamonn McNabb, ARC Plant Hire has already had a large presence in the sport, having previously served as the naming rights partner for Western Australian Rally Championship.

ARC Plant Hire also featured in the ARC last year, with McNabb backing Irish driver Patrick O’Brien for his charge in the Accent Benchtops Rally Queensland, which saw O’Brien finish fifth overall alongside Shane Farrell in the Ford Fiesta Rally2 car.

ARC Plant Hire Forest Rally Clerk of Course Ross Tapper believed the support helped the event continue at a high level.

“The WA roads are different to every other state, which makes it an enjoyable challenge, and with generally really good weather and a beautiful set up in Busselton and Nannup, it makes for a great atmosphere amongst competitors and spectators,” Tapper said.

“The rallies cannot run without the support of our sponsors, and businesses like ARC Plant Hire play a crucial role in making these events possible.”

WA Car Club President Stuart Mitchell echoed Tapper’s comments.

Competitors and spectators can expect the same fast, ball-bearing gravel roads that make the Forest Rally unique and a star-studded line-up for 2026,” Mitchell said.

“We’re anticipating spectacular driving and close competition, delivering another outstanding show for fans and officials alike.

“Eamonn and ARC Plant Hire’s sponsorship of the 2026 Forest Rally is critical to ensuring the club can deliver a top-tier event that showcases the best of rallying in Western Australia.”
