Ari Wedlock

Ari Wedlock began competing in motorsport at the age of 10 in the highly competitive junior karting scene that has produced Australian stars such as Oscar Piastri and Broc Feeney.

A highlight of Ari’s karting career came in 2023 when he won the Queensland Junior Karting Title in the KA3 Junior class at Townsville. His home track is the Cooloola Kart Club in Gympie, where he also won the club’s Junior Championship in 2019.

Rallying has been part of Ari’s life since childhood, growing up around events in the Mary Valley and Gympie region. During a trip to New Zealand he even met his namesake, legendary rally driver Ari Vatanen, at the Otago Rally.

In 2025, during his final year of high school, Ari made the move into rallying. He now works as an apprentice mechanic at Pacific Ford.

Navigating for Ari is his father Brad, a five-time Queensland Rally Champion who competed in every running of Rally Queensland from 1997 to 2011. Together they are building Ari’s rally career step by step.
