The 2010 Coffs Coast Rally will comprise 320km of special stages and 340km liaison held over 2.5 days pending ARCOM approval on the 15-16 May 2010. The rally is planned to start with 30km competitive on Friday afternoon and will start a tough event that will best suit crews capable of driving fast and clean, as there are no opportunities for major rebuilds through out the day. Based on a similar format to the recent WRC, crews will leave the morning service park at the Coffs Harbour Showground for about 60km competitive before a service at the Glenreagh Township for lunch. Another grueling 70km of stages will pass before the crews return to Coffs Harbour for a super special stage before the main 2 hour service. The stages comprise many roads and spectator points that have never been used in rallies in the clubs 40 year history, along with an extended version (34km) of the famous Sherwood Road. The super special stage will be at the Coffs Harbour Showground. It will run 3 times throughout the event, and once at night. The showground will also host the main service park, Rally HQ, and Parc Ferme, making it a spectators delight. With the average stage length being 17 odd km’s, expect to see fast and spectacular action on a mix of traditional forestry stages and shire roads throughout the Coffs Coast and Clarence shires.
